I think this article is a must-read for anyone living in the Las Vegas valley. It's written by Brian Greenspun, the editor of the Las Vegas Sun. He's one of my favorite columnists and this is something that I think everyone should read.

This was an excellent article, I caught it in Sunday's paper.
Working under Governor Gibbons as a State employee, I can attest for his ridiculous idea of cutting/abandoning State services for the sake of not raising taxes. I can only wonder if his reasoning is to save our slumping economy... but cutting services and holding state funding hostage is going to create a vicious cycle. I have to wonder if he's pondered the consequences?
