Random rants

It's one of those days, so here it goes:
  • I am getting more and more annoyed with the news media. I think journalists have a very important job. A free press in necessary in a free society. This being said, I think it is safe to say that we are seeing more and more "tabloid journalism" than actual journalism these days. I mean come on - talking to the families of the West Virginia miners after they learned of the "miscommunication?"
  • How can the Bush Administration keep defending their domestic spying program? As citizens, we would expect the Bill of Rights to be honored and to not follow the acceptable protocols is very disturbing to me.
  • The Bills fired President and GM Tom Donahoe. Thank god. We haven't been in the playoffs since 1999 - when Doug Flutie played for the Bills. The infamous "Music City Miracle."
  • My job is getting to me a little bit. Our infrastructure was built for a company that isn't as big as we are now, and we are going through those growing pains. We'll get through them, but the late-night conference calls are getting old.
  • I really need to apply for my Indian Visa. I've known about this for way too long not to have it.
  • Getting ready to put my house on the market. It's a little freaky. I have a lot to do.
  • We are moving ahead with wedding plans. Next up - interviewing officiants. For more info, check out For Better or Worse

That's all for now. Have a nice day!

Okay, you did leave yourself open for this one: When was the last time the Bills went to a superbowl? Or, should I say, when was the last time the bills WON a superbowl? (waiting for darts)

Late night conference calls would seriously irritate me, too... nevermind the salary. Hopefully the growing pains work themselves out for you soon.

Interviewing officiants? Wow. We didn't do that, and I suppose we got pretty lucky; we had a GREAT pastor. Although we did have a non-denominational ceremony - are you guys, as well?

I know, those late night phone calls must suck. Lloyd is on call once a month for all the dr.s and nurses and they call sometimes at ungodly hours with stupid things. Not only does he have to get up and deal with it, but it also messes up my sleep as well. Hmm not applying for that visa, do I get the feeling that you don't want to go??? I hated selling my house, at least you will be moved out, so you don't have to deal with strangers in your house, with all your stuff.

Lora: The Bills won the 1964 and 65 AFL Championships, I'll have you know. If you want to know more, just ask my Dad. Trust me, he'll tell you. All I know is that I don't still keep hearing stories about former Bills being arrested for possession, like some former Cowboys...

We are going non-denominational. That's what happens when a Catholic boy marries a Jewish girl, I suppose. Amy and I want to meet the different officiants so that we can choose the one we are most comfortable with.

Teri - While I don't really want to go to India, I really think it's more laziness in applying for the Visa. I do better with firm deadlines. Oh well, it'll get done.

Oh, Ken... I missed what you were saying? I was counting Superbowl rings.

Hehehe

I have a feeling you and I are going to be doing this until the end of time, seeing as you're now part of the family 'n all. :)

Lora - Yeah. You're right. We could go 'round and 'round for quite some time. That's OK. I'm used to it. My best friend and my brother-in-law (two different people) are Dallas fans, and we seem to get along OK. The good thing is that we are both out of our misery this season.

Aww...I'm part of the family. Schucks. I don't have a good comeback on that one.
